It was Joan of Arc who pressed the crowning of Charles VII after the resumption of Orleans to the English people.
Many animations planned
As every year, a real medieval village is recreated thanks to the many craftsmen, troubadours, musicians and other emblematic characters of the Middle Age.
Many activities are organized to entertain both young and old alike. For example, you will find spinning workshops, falconry shows, introductions to the use of weapons of the time, music concerts of the time, and so much more.
Each year, the organizers of these celebrations add more and more animations, especially for young people, in order to carry on the tradition. The Johannic Festival attract nearly 100,000 people each year.
A weekend full of highlights
The festivities begin with a ceremony in front of the Joan of Arc's statue. The most awaited moment of these two days is still the reconstruction of the cortege accompanying Joan of Arc and Charles VII in Reims towards Notre-Dame cathedral.
At nightfall, you can also admire an amazing pyrotechnic show that will transport you in the universe of the time.
