Immerse yourself in the memories of the Second World War

In a listed historical building, the Museum of the Surrender in Reims is dedicated to the memories of the Second World War. The museum is housed in the building where Eisenhower's headquarters and the operations room of the allied forces during the Second World War were located.

Place of the surrender of Nazi Germany

More importantly, it was in this building that German General Jodl announced the capitulation of Nazi Germany on 7 May 1945, thus ending the war. The news was then simultaneously announced in the Allied capitals on 8 May 1945.

The building has been preserved in its original state, giving you a vivid impression of historical events. The exhibitions show the role of the city of Reims at the end of this major war.
