The Johannine Festivities 2024
25th and 26th May 2024This annual event commemorates the coronation of Charles VII on 17 July 1429 in Reims cathedral. It was Joan of Arc who crowned "the Victorious One" following the liberation of Reims from English domination.
Over the course of a weekend, retrace the history of the 33 royal coronations in Reims, while having fun and enjoying yourself with family and friends. The area around the cathedral became a playground for all kinds of entertainment: a torchlight parade, medieval cabaret, musicians...
