Visit to the Villa Demoiselle in Reims

Experience art at your fingertips with this new discovery

An architectural landmark

This modern building is the work of the architect Louis Sorel. He himself designed the Villa Demoiselle, formerly known as the Villa Cochet. His work, built at the beginning of the 20th century, is unique and shows art nouveau in a different light.

Henry Vasnier, then director of Maison Pommery, had work started on his acquisition. Unfortunately, he did not see it through to the end. He died before completion and it was his successor, Louis Cochet, who gave his name to the house and will be housed there instead.

After the two world wars, Paul-François Vranken, who took over Maison Pommery in 2002, took over the villa for a major renovation project.

It was restored from floor to ceiling over a period of more than 4 years and according to archive documents so as not to alter anything.

In 2008, after all the work, the Villa changed its name to its current name: the Villa Demoiselle.

A renowned champagne house

After its major renovation, the Villa Demoiselle became the headquarters of Maison Pommery. The cellar has been entrusted with the difficult task of housing an exceptional collection of rare 20th century vintages.

For its part, the kiosk has been restored to house a boutique and to welcome visitors.

With a wealth of experience at the head of major champagne houses, Paul-François Vranken decided to found his own company and became the CEO of the Vranken-Pommery group.

An exceptional place to visit without moderation

In addition to possessing cellars rich in a distant heritage, go and meet this place with its unique architecture mixing the contemporary and the modern.

You will discover carefully restored furniture, most of which was already in the building in days gone by. Each room in the Villa has been tastefully and meticulously decorated with incredible treasures.

Take a self-guided tour or an audio guide and immerse yourself in another time. End the tour by tasting one of the House's fine bubbly champagnes.
