Hiking in the Montagne de Reims
The Reims Mountain is a hiker's paradise! Discover no less than 550 kilometres of marked routes, to be explored on foot or by bike. There is something for everyone, from short walks (2 km) to longer ones (18 km).
Do you travel by bike? Choose from mountain bike circuits, cycle tracks or cycle routes.
Explore the Verzy Forest
35 minutes from Reims, this is one of the must-see sites on the Montagne de Reims. The Verzy Forest is home to more than 1000 Verzy scythes. These twisted beech trees have gnarled and deformed trunks, which is thought to be due to a natural genetic mutation... but the mystery continues to linger.

Between cellar visits and champagne tasting
The Montagne de Reims is renowned for its vineyards and its exceptional champagne. Visiting a Champagne house is therefore one of the must-do activities. In the Montagne de Reims, 10 villages are classified as Grand Cru de Champagne.
Among them, Abonnay and Verzenay. Other big names are Veuve Clicquot and Pommery, whose historic cellars are located in Reims. The visit ends with a glass of champagne.
The famous pink biscuits of the Maison Fossier
Founded in 1756, this traditional biscuit factory produces the traditional pink biscuits of Reims. Their recipe was developed in the 1690s by bakers from Champagne. In the 18th century, under Louis XV, Fossier was even the official supplier to the king! Today, pink biscuits are still made in Reims. You'll love their melt-in-your-mouth, crunchy texture. It is even possible to visit the biscuit factory!
